How do the children get house points?
House points can be awarded to individuals and groups of children for excellent work. House points can also be awarded to children for actions that reflect our ‘ACE’ school values. These values are:
Academic
- Being Resilient
- Being Conscientious
- Being Creative
Community
- Being Responsible
- Being Respectful
- Being Inclusive
Emotional Wellbeing
- Being Reflective
- Being Courageous
House points can be given out by any member of staff across the school, including lunchtime supervisors and office staff. This is an excellent way of promoting and rewarding positive attitudes and behaviour.
Rewards
Scores are collected in weekly by our Year 6 prefects. At the end of each half term, the house with the most points will be announced and they will receive a special prize, for example, a non-school uniform day.
At the end of the year, the house with the most points will be announced and they will take part in a special ‘Fun Day’.
There will be other events throughout the year in which the children will have an opportunity to represent their house, including Sports Days.
