A warm welcome to your PTA (Parent Teacher Association)
We'd like to introduce ourselves and tell you some key information about the PTA, how you can help us and what's in it for you.
Our group is called Hagley Primary School PTA and has been running for many years, it is run by a committee who are all volunteers; parents, carers and teachers alike.
The main function of our PTA is to support the school by raising as much money as we can to enhance, enrich and improve learning experiences for the children. We also provide those 'little extras' that make school memorable, such as school discos, tuck shops, Year 6 leavers gifts and classroom visits from Father Christmas.
We try to keep our events accessible for all, bringing the communities of school and home closer together, to meet new people and to have fun!
The money we raise is not only used to fund large projects such as the redevelopment of the top courts, it is also used to fund activities such as Bikeability and music lessons. We have helped to fund staff training, repainted and rebuilt the playground activity areas and provided many resources, such as iPads, that are used daily within the school.
We run many fundraising events throughout the school year; summer and Christmas fayres, quiz nights, fashion shows, competitions, raffles, themed nights, summer galas etc. but we are always trying to think of new ways to raise money for the school. Please do share your fundraising ideas with us.
We often send out requests for donations of uniform, bottles, cakes, chocolate, gifts, toys, teddy bears, books etc. So, don’t throw out that bottle of wine that’s been gathering dust - we’ll gladly take it off your hands! As the fayres approach we will send out a ‘fridge’ list that will have each collection date listed, don’t worry, we won’t let you forget!
But, it isn’t just your donations that we need, it’s your time, many hands make light work and we’re grateful for any help that is offered - we won’t ever say no!
We hope that this has given you a little insight into the work of the PTA and we look forward to meeting you.

The PTA will once again be working hard this year to raise money to improve the experience that every child has at Hagley Primary School.
Thursday 16th January - PTA Meeting (7.45pm at The King Arthur, Hagley)
Friday 14th February - After School Tuck Shop at 2.55pm outside New Hall
Friday 20th March - Quiz & Curry Night at 6.30pm in the Old Hall
Thursday 2nd April - Break Rules in school event

Friday 1st May - KS1 Entertainment
Friday 15th May - KS2 Discos from 6.30pm in the Old Hall
Friday 19th June - Home Clothes for a Mug
Friday 19th June - Gala on the Green - Summer Party
Saturday 27th June - Summer Fayre 11.00am - 2.00pm
Each year, the PTA raise between £16,000 - £18,000 towards projects within school.
Projects that the PTA have supported are:
Purchase of new outdoor equipment
Creation of school pond
A new outdoor classroom
Development within ICT involving Ipads and laptops within school
This is as well as assisting with the funding of music, art and sports activities across the school.
The PTA is currently looking to fund various projects and is working with school staff closely to ensure that their priorities are met.
